Our new 2018 collection is inspired by the opulent costumes in the opera and love story of Madame Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini, Milan Italy. Using ultra feminine colors, layer of patterns flowers and colorful handmade tassels to portray the tenderness of heart from several shades of pastels cherry blossom, cameo pink, jade, lavender and canary yellow. Vibrant contrasting earthy colors of cactus, cedar and tobacco, touches of turquoise blue taken from southern American desert cultures. Mix & matching patterns of raindrops, stripes, flowers and freehand oil paint brush strokes creating soulful layers and dimensions of wonder. Our signature 1920’s art deco references of vintage Bakelite accessories in various stone and marble finishes. Introducing our original hand sketched “camellia” flower engraved into the lacquered calfskin and hand painted the colors into impressions.
